Photo from Jackie Gereaux, a childhood friend of Elaine's.
The magnolia tree on the parkway is over 65 years old.
Planted by our dad during WWII.
The three bedroom house was occupied for over 15 years by five kids and three adults, Mom, Dad, & Grandma Williams.
It had one bathroom.
In later years, after the girls, Elaine and Claire got big, Dad put up a Sears Ready Made, fibre board, one room, shack, about two dozen feet back on the lot, behind the house, for Gene and myself to share.
Richard shared the middle bedroom with Grandma Williams.

Deja Vu from the Family.

By the way, how did you come to encounter Jackie Gereaux?

That is really deja vu. Didn't she have an older sister? I forget here name.

Also, she had some cousins, who lived on the corner of Ramona Ave and 137th
street that I hung around with.
I think the younger one was named Dave.

Basil, Jackie's father, took all of his employees' kids (incl. three of us) to the
Grand Canyon, during the Big War, and her older cousin, (Jay?,) drove an Indian
motorcycle all the way, round trip.

Basil and my Dad and Gene and I went hunting on several trips also. I recall one
trip to Mojave, especially, as it was the first hunt for me and my German Shorthair,
pointer, Jill Von Schoen.

That picture of the house sure brought back a flood of memories.

I am adding to the house web page some of this nostalgia. Anyone who wants
to add any recollections to that family page can email me.

Regards,

Bob$$$
